MP Ensystems Advisory Pvt. Ltd., established in 2012, is a niche energy and environmental sector consultancy headquartered in Mumbai with presence in multiple states in India. We provide analytical support to policy-making and deployment of sustainability solutions; primarily focusing on energy efficiency, renewable energy, clean transportation, agriculture, water conservation, circularity, clean finance and other related development sector topics. We work with governments, private sector clients, policy making institutions, multilateral development banks, philanthropies, academia, and civil society organizations to design, implement and evaluate solutions that promote sustainability.
MP Ensystems works on aspects related to clean energy policy, technology assessments, programmatic interventions, business/revenue models and financing solutions at the individual project and corporate levels. Current and past projects deal with greening of rural value chains in agriculture and fisheries sector, power sector reforms, renewable energy storage solutions, utility-driven demand-side management, power markets participation, clean mobility, energy access, energy efficiency and energy transition.
We are hiring an Analyst, with an experience of 1 to 3 years, with rural (agriculture) sector experience to work with our team. The position will report to the senior management team at MP Ensystems and shall be responsible for working in the following sectors:
Green recovery in rural value chains
MP Ensystems consults on projects to support specific rural communities with opportunities for farm-to-fork value-chains, where we provide implementation support to showcase benign livelihood opportunities keeping in mind the clean energy opportunities in production and conveyance of goods. MP Ensystems works closely on sustainable value-chains related to food and local artisanal produce from the regions supporting rural industrialization, climate mitigation and resilience. The project also deals with clean energy opportunities in environmentally benign built environment.
The Analyst’s role would be to support execution of project deliverables, client engagements, report delivery and conducting knowledge-based webinars and events.
2. Other Relevant Sectors
Support in other energy and environment sector related projects related to energy power sector markets, transportation electrification, built environment, energy efficiency and clean energy finance sectors and utility-driven clean energy projects. To to assist in the development of course content and training modules and in organizing webinars and learning events in relevant Sustainability areas.
Key Responsibilities
To provide assistance in designing qualitative and quantitative surveys, data organization through field visits and meetings with several key stakeholders and state agencies pan India, analysis of collected data and writing reports.
To contribute in proposal development, coordination of activities, execution of project deliverables, ensure on-time and within budget implementation, support client relationships and work with the team to identify and execute implementation approaches supporting India’s sustainability goals.
To contribute in path-breaking and innovative design, implementation, and financing solutions.
Other few responsibilities are listed below:
Field visits for data collection, conducting focused group discussions
Identify gaps in technology requirement of FPOs
Marketing strategies to build relations with FPOs and gather information on required technology
Interact, network and collaborate for agriculture technology providers
Assist in preparing reports and presentations summarising research finds for internal and external stakeholders
Be updated on emerging technologies, and trends in sustainable agriculture
Submission of DPRs under various schemes available
The selected candidate will provide analytical support, evaluating the need for and usefulness of decarbonization of the agriculture sector with specific emphasis on clean technologies deployed in key end-uses such as micro and small industries, agriculture post-harvesting processes and allied sectors.

Qualifications
Masters’ degree in Energy, Environment, Agriculture, Engineering, Economics or a related field
1-3 years’ relevant work experience
Knowledge of agricultural schemes in India to strengthen product value chain, understanding the value chain and post-harvest process and keen towards building government relations
Self-starter, showing demonstrated interest in energy, environment, agriculture, climate related topics
Good oral and written communication skills; ability to articulate issues, give presentations, and prepare formal written reports
Self-motivated and organized; able to simultaneously work on multiple assignments and to work both independently as well as on teams
Proficiency with MS Office, particularly Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word
Willingness to travel for about 35% of work months
Desired - but not mandatory - skills in data modelling, statistical analysis, GIS applications, web design, document design
